Among them, the import of plates was 420,200 cubic meters, a decrease of 12.71% from the previous month. The import of logs was 496,400 cubic meters, a decrease of 10.29% from the previous month.

Imports of timber in July fell by the same month last year, mainly due to the significant decrease in imports of Southeast Asian, South American, North American and African, and only Russian imports increased. In terms of specific imported timber data, the import volume of Southeast Asian timber was 30,800 cubic meters, down 4.22% from the previous month, and the import volume of South American timber was 166,000 cubic meters. Compared with last month, it decreased by 6.93%, North American timber imports were 896,700 cubic meters, down 8.99% from the previous month, African timber imports were 147,200 cubic meters, down 5.71% from the previous month, and Russian timber imports were 119,600 cubic meters. The monthly increase was 7.19%. The main species were Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica and a small amount of larch.

In July, the number of imported redwoods at the Shanghai port was significantly small, and large-scale redwoods were rare. At the same time, the price of redwoods was high, rising 20-30% from the first half of the year.
